Focus Home Care provides specialist home-based care and support for adults living with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, mental health conditions, and other complex needs. Rather than placing individuals in institutional settings, we work with housing associations and social landlords so people can receive tailored, person-centred care in their own homes while maintaining as much independence as possible.
We currently deliver services across five regions in England: Cambridgeshire, East Sussex, Essex & London, Suffolk, and the West Midlands. Each region has its own local team and facilities. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, call us on 01733 261233 and we can advise.
Yes. Our adult services are registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our children’s residential homes are inspected by Ofsted. You can view our latest inspection reports directly on our website under the CQC Reports and Ofsted Reports pages.
In a traditional residential care home, people move into a shared facility run by the provider. At Focus Home Care, individuals live in their own homes – often properties managed by housing associations – and we provide care and support within that setting. This model gives people far more control over their daily routines, personal space, and lifestyle choices while still receiving the specialist support they need.
Most of the people we support are funded through local authority commissioning or NHS Continuing Healthcare packages. We work alongside social workers, care coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to set up care arrangements. If you’re exploring options for a family member, a good first step is to contact your local council’s adult social care team to request a needs assessment.
You can call us on 01733 261233, email us via the contact form on our website, or ask the relevant social worker or care coordinator to contact us directly. We accept referrals from local authorities, NHS trusts, families, and individuals. We’ll arrange an initial assessment to understand the person’s needs and discuss whether our service is the right fit.
