Our services promote the Named Carer and Care Coordinator approach to encourage, support and guide our clients in expressing their own choices. Working together, we help individuals set and accomplish personal goals to maintain and develop the skills they need to live independently in their own homes
Focus Home Care was established in 2024. While we are a newer organisation, our leadership and care teams bring extensive experience from across the health and social care sector. We have built our service model on current best practice and regulatory standards from day one.
Yes. Focus Home Care sits within a group of community care services that also includes Trust Care (residential care) and Focus Care Supported Living. This means we can support individuals across different care settings and help facilitate transitions – for example, from residential care into more independent home-based living – within the same family of providers.
We operate under a single set of policies, clinical governance frameworks, and quality standards across all regions. Each location has a local management team, but they report into a central corporate structure that oversees training, compliance, auditing, and service evaluation. We also have an Employee Engagement Steering Committee that brings frontline staff voices into organisational decision-making.
All staff complete a comprehensive induction programme that includes the Care Certificate, safeguarding, first aid, medication management, and condition-specific training. Depending on the people they support, staff also complete the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, NAPPI training, and Positive Behaviour Support training. Ongoing professional development is a core part of working at Focus Home Care.
We actively encourage it. Families and advocates are part of the care planning process from the outset, and we maintain regular communication through reviews, updates, and direct access to the care team.
